About the event

Shimpaku Juniper (Juniperus chinensis Shimpaku) This is shohin size material (under 10” tall). Shimpaku Juniper is a popular

species of juniper that is native to Japan and is prized for its fine, textured foliage and attractive bark. It is versatile and can be formed into a variety of bonsai styles including informal upright, cascade andwindswept. This is an outdoor tree and is winter hardy material. The material is approximately six years old and has been grown specifically as pre-bonsai. Any bonsai enthusiast would be happy to have this material as a shohin bonsai tree. Workshops require participants to bring their own tools and/or turntable if possible, the club will have some extra tools available as needed as well as wire.
